- Abdominal pain is normal during second trimester of the pregnancy.
- Commonly termed as Round Ligament pain, it creates cramping that results in a sharp pain.
- It occurs because of the expansion of uterus and ligaments stretching.
- Other reasons for abdominal pain can be gas or bloating.
- It is a temporary pain which can be avoided by resting on one side with knees bent and pillows between the legs.
- However if there is severe pain followed by bleeding, consulting the doctor is necessary.
